Vintage brass and blue glass buckle brooch from the victorian/edwardian era. This type of brooch was used to hold a sash at the waist of the large corseted gowns. The brooch is made to look like a buckle when it is pinned to the sash. There is a "C" clasp on the back. It measures 2 1/2" tall, and 1 3/4" wide. Wonderful etched and embossed designs in the brass.
