Vintage Castlecliff Rhinestone Sterling Silver Fur Clip 40s
Vintage art deco castlecliff early 1940s WWII sterling silver fur clip. This piece is extremely rare, and beautiful and comes with it's original box. Castlecliff started labeling their jewelry starting in 1941. This piece has styling similar to the 1930s art deco. Therefore I dated it to the early 1940s. It is marked "sterling" and "castlecliff". The box has a foil emblem labeled "swan perles". The clip measures 4" long. The stones have incredible sparkle, and are square in a setting with art deco designs on the side. I have never seen a fur clip this old that is styled like two ribbons hanging down. Perhaps it was personally design. The pearls are faux pearls. The only flaw I see is that the main body of the fur clip has some yellow stones, but I did not attempt to clean it. The velvet on the outside of the box shows some wear.
